Comparison: Both films are mindless slasher movies with buckets of gore and blood. The storylines are very different while both having a miner serial killer in town. The original is and will continue to be a cult classic and one of the best in the sub genre of slasher horror films. While the remake, well is forgotten by the wayside. Not for it's cast but for the film itself. I would recommend the original but if you want to see the true difference watch the remake.
